About Us
Trey Knight has been teaching others about the outdoors for 15 years and has lived and played in 15 states during that time. Currently, Trey is one of two Outdoor Recreation Coordinators for the University of Tennessee and has previously served as the Kayak/SUP Program Manager at the US National Whitewater Center, Assistant Outdoor Director for Falling Creek Camp, Program Coordinator for Outdoor Recreation Georgia Tech and even worked as the Education and Outreach Coordinator for the ACA. Trey holds certifications with the ACA as a Level 5: Advanced Whitewater SUP Instructor Trainer Educator, Level 4: Whitewater Raft Instructor Trainer, Level 5: Advanced Swiftwater Rescue Instructor and has the Adaptive Paddling Endorsement. Trey also serves as the Chair of the ACA Safety, Education, & Instruction Council, sits on the ACA Board of Directors and is the Past Chair of the SUP Discipline Committee. Trey holds a M.S. in Sports Administration and loves what he does as it allows him to develop leaders and teachers of all kinds using outdoor recreation. Trey enjoys being active and spending time in and on the water. When not developing new techniques or maneuvers for whitewater SUP, you can find Trey surfing on a river or in the ocean.
